Free Tool Friday: Teamups

Posted By

Happy early weekend everyone! It’s Friday afternoon (here in the U.S., anyway), and here at Game Academy, that means it’s time for another Free Tool Friday. This week I’m pleased to bring you guys one of the best tools I’ve seen in a long time. Especially if you have an idea brewing in your head and you want to see if other people will think the idea is just as awesome, then you need to be aware of this tool.

I’m talking about Teamups – a free service that allows you to post your idea and obtain feedback from other people that are as passionate as you are. But the beauty of Teamups doesn’t stop there: rather, it’s a great way to find likeminded people that can actually help you to bring your indie game to life! Not only is Teamups awesome for getting feedback before you start prototyping your idea (and of course, developing your indie game), but it can help you to form a team that can bring your idea and future indie games to life. Think of it as an online think tank full of volunteers that want to be help others with their creative endeavors.

The service started earlier this year, and I wouldn’t be surprised if its popularity explodes fairly soon. Give it a shot, and who knows? You may just find your team for your next indie game!

That’s it for this week’s Free Tool Friday. As always, I’ll be back next week to share some of the best tools I’ve found for helping you to continue developing your dream games. Have a great weekend everyone!
