Today, Zynga COO Clive Downie, posted a memo to Zynga players on their website thanking them for the past six years that they’ve been dedicated fans of their hit social games FarmVille, Zynga Poker, and Words with Friends. In the lengthy acknowledgement he also announced the worldwide launch of FarmVille 2: Country Escape, the New Zynaga Poker, and the New Words with Friends to mobile.
The company’s success in the online social gaming scene was quite groundbreaking, since their debut over 1 billion people from across the globe has played a Zynga game.
“You, our players, have turned our games into rich social experiences centered on collaborating challenging and connecting with friends and family. You have made our games social centerpieces in your lives and we want to thank you for playing,” said Downie.
In the statement Downie shares a few tidbits on the app development process by divulging how they used player feedback data collected throughout the years to help design the graphics and deliver unique gameplay features. He also hinted that some of the cool add-ons included in the games were generated from user suggestions.
Set in a scenic coastal town, the game continues the storyline of FarmVille 2 by offering a connected rewards system between the game and the new mobile app version. Players can farm no matter where they are with the app’s online and offline gameplay options. Zynga is offering a notification option for fans to receive a text message as soon as the game drops by texting MOO to 99642.
New Zynga Poker and New Words with Friends have been updated with bonus user suggested features and improved speed and interface design. Zynga’s base development team, not their newly acquired NaturalMotion developer created these mobile versions of player’s favorite social titles.
According to Zynga, all three mobile games will release in select markets over the next few weeks and the apps will be available worldwide by the end of the second quarter of this year.
