Windows Phone Joins App Annie’s Analytics Roster

Today, analytics firm App Annie added the Windows Phone to its Store Stats tracking system. The company was literally overrun with requests from developers to add Microsoft’s platform to their index. The demand for the addition, definitely verifies Microsoft’s OS’s steady growth over the past year.

Currently released in beta, the added support for the Windows Phone allows users to view the top 500 apps on the device dating back to November 24, 2013. App Annie plans on adding more Windows Phone data in the months to come. They also confirmed in a statement that the firm will continue to track Microsoft’s Operating System “From here on out.”

349798331_640The firm previously only tracked iOS apps and later included Android. Windows will be the third addition to its platform. Over 3,700,000 mobile applications are analyzed in their database.

Since its debut in 2010, App Annie has become the one of the top sources for app details, charts, global rankings, download records, and revenue stats in the mobile industry.
