The company’s mobile app empire success definitely played a huge determining factor in Zynga’s acquisition of NaturalMotion last week for $527 million dollars. The publishers hit games like CSR Racing, My Horse, and their latest Clumsy Ninja will most likely assist Zynga as it attempts to boost its mobile roster and make a comeback in the mobile game industry.
The company’s animation engine Morpheme which was used to make mobile apps like the extremely popular Clumsy Ninja probably contributed to the purchase as well.
It’s NaturalMotion’s ability to release chart-topping games that has skyrocketed the publisher to success. It will be interesting to see what the two studios will bring to gaming in the future.
