Happy Friday everyone, and welcome to another edition of Free Tool Friday! Every week, we highlight a free tool designed to make your indie studio flow a little more smoothly, and this week’s free tool is no exception. This week, we’re taking a look at TestFlight.

If you are planning to release your mobile game on iOS, then you seriously need to consider using TestFlight when it’s time to playtest the game. Personally, I’ve used TestFlight as a playtester, and getting new versions of the game to test couldn’t be easier. The moment you upload a new build, your playtesters will get a push notification that allows them to download the latest build. Easy, seamless, and powerful.

Let’s say you don’t want to send one build to every playtester. Perhaps you want one group to focus on one aspect of the game and you want your other group to focus on another part of the game. No problem! TestFlight makes it simple to send custom builds to select devices over-the-air, making it simple to test for iPad and iPhone versions simultaneously!

Finally, TestFlight makes it simple to keep track of feedback as well. You playtesters will be able to tell you within TestFlight if they found any bugs, problems, etc., allowing you to figure out the problem and go from there.

The best part? We’ve just scratched the surface regarding how great TestFlight actually is! If you’re ready to give it a go, sign up for TestFlight today, and use it the next time you need to playtest your iOS games!

That’s it for this edition of Free Tool Friday! Do you have a suggestion for a future installment of Free Tool Friday? Let us know in the comments below!
